How I desire to drown in thee?

softest moonbeams

in the sincere

Sinking deep—

O here at the sands, mine hands

are prayers touching thee

the bubbling, breathing heart of

my whole world.

This mellow sacred beat.

Here I die with delight

to awake

a new thing

gasping

with life.
